My Stylish Weekend: Easter
Posted on April 2, 2013
I hope you all had a great weekend, I sure did. It was great to finally not be sick and guess what Spring finally got the memo and showed up! I mean really how long could this crazy weather we’ve been having last.
Since Buds was out of school on Friday we kicked the weekend off by going on an adventure. Grandma bought him a fireman outfit and he’s been a little obsessed every since. So it only made sense to take him to our brand new fire house that opened in January.
We ended Friday evening at Oceanaire for Happy Hour with the family for a post Birthday celebration for my sister in law minus the kids of course.
Easter Sunday was very relaxed. We attended Easter service which was so popp’n! I mean folks you haven’t seen all year showed up in their Sunday Best. I opted for a bolder color this year instead of your traditional spring pastels. He loved his outfit so much he refused to take it off after church and stayed in it ALL DAY. I was able to get him into his red flip flops though so he could be a little more comfortable.

Dinner was at my sister in law’s house. As usually we divided the menu and everyone brought a couple of dishes. It was so relish. We had shrimp and scallop kabobs, North Carolina Chopped Chicken BBQ, Grilled Green Tomatoes, Sauté Brussel Sprouts, Greens, Spinach and the list goes ons. Needless to say we had the veggies covered and were stuffed!
Instead of doing Easter baskets this year I decided to have the kids do a little Spring activity. I had a ball in the Target dollar section. The kids planted their own flowers and they enjoyed it so much, however Buds didn’t like the dirt aspect of the activity. I wonder where he gets that from, lol. We even had entertainment from my nephew who by the way is obsessed with Micheal Jackson. I guess it was just a normal Sunday with the gang!
Until Next Time…
